Schott joined Swank Audio Visuals in July, 2000, where he led the regional Human Resource duties for the growing Western Division. Prior to becoming a member of the Swank Team, Schott worked within the hotel industry and held the lead position as Director of HR of a major hotel chain. Schott started his career with General Mills as an operational manager and moved into training and Human Resources. During his tenure, he was involved in unit and multi-unit management operations, training, recruiting and employee relations.

Schott's immediate emphasis for Swank was to build a recruiting process and professional team to accommodate the aggressive growth, while networking and relationship building with colleges, technical institutions and communities. He has gone on to focus on branding for internal and external opportunities; maintaining the company's cultural integrity; facilitating a path format for the development of team members; automating functions from entrepreneurial past to present company to facilitate growth; as well as managing benefits, employee programs and the HR database systems.
