Ben Smith began his career in radio and television before joining the Audio Visual / Hospitality industry in 1993. His career with Swank Audio Visuals began in 1995, where he worked at two Phoenix area resorts before relocating to California to oversee the opening of a prestigious hotel's audio visual operation.

Smith was promoted to Area Manager, overseeing the Northern California Market and then to Regional Manager in 2001 to include the Utah and Colorado markets. In 2004, he relocated to Phoenix as the Southwest Regional Manager, and in 2008 was promoted to Divisional Manager, and now his responsibilities cover the Mountain Coastal Division. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from San Francisco State University.
